Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has released its fifth QS University Ranking: Eastern Europe and Central Asia (formerly known as the QS University Rankings: Developing Europe and Central Asia). The ranking includes 300 best universities from 26 countries of the region. It is the second time 23 Russian universities have been included in the top 100 higher education institutions.

The Lomonosov Moscow State University and Novosibirsk National Research State University (NSU), which is one of the organizers of the Open Doors Olympiad, retained their high positions in the ranking.

According to the QS University Ranking: Eastern Europe and Central Asia, other universities - organizers of the Open Doors Olympiad have gone up in the ranking - Tomsk State University (13th position), Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology(16th position), National Research University Higher School of Economics (23rd position), National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (26th position), Tomsk Polytechnic University (35th position), Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University (41st position), Ural Federal University (43rd position), National University of Science and Technology MISiS (52nd position), ITMO University (56th position), Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (71st position), and Far East Federal University (87th position).
