The Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology has held a contest to select the best proposals of English-taught graduate programs to be implemented under Project 5-100. A brief overview of the five winning programs follows below.

Digital Transformation

This program is focused on the formation of competencies that enable graduates to develop digital business strategies, implement projects delivering digital innovation, and create international projects in the field of digital technology.

Blockchain

This program offers an in-depth understanding of distributed ledger technology (DLT) and the scope of its applications. A significant part of the course is devoted to the challenges faced by this technology and ways of overcoming them. The students will gain experience developing DLT solutions, learn to create applications based on Hyperledger Fabric and the technology stack provided by the Ethereum platform and EOS.

Cybersecurity

Those taking the course will study the processes of cyber object formation, functioning, and evolution to identify the sources of security breaches. The lectures also examine methods for determining breach source characteristics, as well as source classification and measures for protecting cyber objects from all identified and studied breach sources. The graduates will also learn to work with network, smart, and end devices and cloud services, including wearable electronics and the internet of things.

International Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology

Master of International Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology is a practice-oriented program for graduates of technical universities from around the world. It aims to equip the students for realizing international tech-driven business projects. The program offers a platform for establishing a venture enterprise.

Industrial Bioinformatics

Students taking this program will learn to process and analyze large amounts of information on biological objects, both of the kind available now and expected to be available soon, with regard to the tendency toward exponential growth of such data (for example, sequenced genomes, resolved spatial structures of biomolecules and their interactions). The program also looks at how molecular diagnostics methods are developed and new drug targets are chosen.
