On February 27, QS Quacquarelli Symonds, a global analytical agency, published the results of the QS World University Rankings and QS World University Rankings by Faculty.

Two Russian universities are among 100 best in the world – Novosibirsk State University (Natural Sciences, 68th position) and Higher School of Economics (Social Sciences and Management, 75th position).

Four universities, organizers of the Olympiad, are among the top 200 in the ranking: Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (Natural Sciences, Engineering and Technology), Higher School of Economics (Art and Humanities), National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Natural Sciences), and Novosibirsk State University (Engineering Sciences and Technology).

At the same time, National Research Nuclear University MEPhI and ITMO University went up more than 100 positions in the ranking of the "Engineering Sciences and Technology."

MIPT (Engineering Sciences and Technologies), NITU MISiS (Engineering Sciences and Technologies, Natural Sciences), and HSE (Arts and Humanities) improved their position by more than 50 positions.

This is the first time RUDN has been included in the QS Art and Humanities ranking.

In total, 12 universities - organizers of the Olympiad are among the best in the QS subject rankings: Higher School of Economics (16 rankings), Novosibirsk State University (12 rankings), Tomsk State University (8 rankings), Tomsk Polytechnic University (8 rankings), Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (7 rankings), Ural Federal University (7 rankings), National University of Science and Technology MISiS (6 rankings), ITMO University (6 rankings), National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (4 rankings), Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University (4 rankings), RUDN (2 rankings) and Sechenov University (1 ranking).
