More than 300 dormitories in 100 Russian universities will undergo major renovations before the end of the year

As mentioned by Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Dmitry Chernyshenko, the federal universities’ dorms overhauling was initiated in 2021. According to Chernyshenko, there are more than 8 billion rubles allocated in Russia’s federal budget for these purposes.

Also planned is creation of modern world-class campuses in Russian universities, for which competitive selection is currently on. It is expected that by 2030, no fewer than 25 modern campuses are completed, providing housing for 125 000 people.
