Teleconference with Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Civil Engineering
The speakers and guests were welcomed by Olga Kotova, Director of the UNN Fundamental Library: “We welcome with great pleasure those who are now very far from Nizhny Novgorod - in the wonderful city of Baku. I hope that after our meeting Azerbaijan will become a little closer. This event should initiate communication between our universities not only at the level of libraries, as it happens today, but our people will also become closer to each other”.
The event was opened with folk dances: “Sari gyalin” was performed by students of the Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University and “Russian dance” was presented by UNN students. The Russian students were introduced to Khari-Bulbul - a symbol of peace, love, and the cultural and artistic heritage of Azerbaijan, they also learned about Azerbaijan's poets, artists and cultural figures. In their turn, UNN students shared their stories about the culture of the peoples of the Volga region, architectural masterpieces of Nizhny Novgorod and other landmarks.
