Graduates from countries in the Global South are finding excellent career prospects in their home countries

Over the past decade, Tyumen State University has become a major center for training qualified professionals for countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

Let us introduce you to a few outstanding career paths of Tyumen State University graduates.

For example, Glenn Josaphat Muamini Ngadi graduated in 2024 with a master’s degree in “Digital Economy” from the Institute of Finance and Economics at Tyumen State University. Since 2026, he has served as an assistant to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Gabon. During his studies, he headed the African Center at Tyumen State University and participated in a forum on the creation of the “Nedra Africa” consortium at the Mining University in St. Petersburg, as well as in discussions on cooperation with the “Nedra” consortium, of which Tyumen State University is a member.

Recently, the university received a warm message from the alumnus: “Today, during a meeting with the vice president, I was thinking about Tyumen State University. We are planning a trip to Russia with a delegation.”

Julien Kuadio Kuadio completed his doctoral studies in the field of “Fluid, Gas, and Plasma Mechanics” in 2023. He was appointed professor at Jean Laurignon Gédé State University (Republic of Côte d’Ivoire). He is working to establish a scientific and educational foundation to support academic exchanges between Côte d’Ivoire and Russia.

Mohammed Ali Yahya Ali Al-Muzayker completed his postgraduate studies in 2022 and defended his Ph.D. dissertation under the supervision of Natalia Ivanova, head of the Photonics and Microfluidics Laboratory at the X-BIO Institute of Tyumen State University. He returned to his homeland, the Republic of Yemen, to the University of Sana’a, where he currently serves as director of the Center for Renewable Energy.

Angesom Gebremeskel completed his doctoral studies at the X-BIO Institute in 2026, specializing in entomology. He was appointed professor in the Department of Biology at the Mai-Nefhi College of Sciences in Asmara, the capital of Eritrea. At Tyumen State University, he helped establish ties with universities in Eritrea and organize celebrations marking the 225th anniversary of the birth of the great poet A. S. Pushkin, who, according to legend, was born in Abyssinia on the territory of modern-day Eritrea.

Giovanni Mauricio Estrada Riquelme graduated in 2026 with a master’s degree from the X-BIO program in “Plant Security.” After graduation, he was appointed Director of Security at Bernard O’Higgins University in Santiago, the capital of Chile. He helped strengthen cooperation between Tyumen State University and his university in Chile.

These and dozens of other graduates have secured excellent career prospects thanks to their proactive approach to life and the vast experience in community and scientific work they gained at our university. We are proud of them and wish them every success!
