Valery Falkov spoke at the opening of the forum of rectors of Russia and Iran

The head of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science noted that the training of Iranian national personnel in Russian universities is one of the main directions of bilateral cooperation between the states. 

"This year more than 6.5 thousand students from Iran are studying in Russia, and more than 250 of them are on the quota of the Russian government. As compared to last year, the number of students has increased by almost two thousand people. This demonstrates the positive trend and the interest of Iranians in Russian education. For the coming academic year we plan to allocate 300 budgetary places. We are ready to continue to provide scholarships for training of specialists necessary for economic development of the republic", - the Minister appealed to the participants of the forum.
