KFU promoted at expo in Vietnam

The delegate joined a career development expo for the high schoolers of Hanoi, held on the premises of Hanoi Polytechnic University. The total attendance was 22,000 young people and their parents.

“The expo left a positive impression. I felt that Vietnamese high schoolers were interested in continuing their education in Russia. This project definitely should improve bilateral ties in education,” comments Smolnikova.

The Russian participants also toured the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam. The two sides discussed scholarships for Vietnamese students and other issues. KFU presented its educational programs and current international cooperation. Head of the Ministry’s Department of International Cooperation Nguyen Thi Thanh Minh spoke about specializations which are of most interest to Vietnamese youngsters.

Ms Smolnikova then joined the delegation at a meeting with local high schools. The kids showed much interest in Kazan University and its programs, especially in IT, medicine, and economics.

The Russian representatives also plan to visit the city of Dien Bien Phu and speak with the provincial officials of Dien Bien Province and high schoolers.

Among KFU’s partners in Vietnam are Hanoi University of Mining and Geology, Hue University, and Ho Chi Minh University of Technology. As of now, there are 36 Vietnamese nationals enrolled in our university.

Vietnamese language, history, politics and culture are studied as part of KFU’s Eastern and African Studies major at the Institute of International Relations.
