Bloggers from Indonesia and Algeria visited the engineering laboratories at TSU
A blog tour aimed at attracting students from Algeria and Indonesia to Russia has kicked off in Tomsk. Journalists and bloggers from these countries are visiting leading Russian universities. The program in Tomsk began with a visit to Tomsk State University. Participants got a glimpse of the modern university environment, met with students, and toured engineering laboratories—including those for chemistry, implant design, and BAS programming, among others.

RUDN hosted the youth forum “Russia–Latin America: A Dialogue Among Future Leaders of the Region’s Nuclear Industry”
It brought together more than 200 representatives from 14 countries in Central and South America. The moderators and participants included representatives from the expert community, leading universities, and Rosatom’s partner universities. The main topics of the event were the application of nuclear technologies in the energy sector, their use in medicine and environmental projects, as well as the development of the Latin American region through youth cooperation and interaction with graduates of Russian universities.

Moscow Polytechnic University, with the support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, will host the fifth anniversary festival of Russian culture for foreign nationals, “Russia My Soul,” at the university, abroad in Sri Lanka and Russia, as well as online for audiences in countries near and far. The “Russia My Soul” festival is a unique opportunity to discover the richness of Russian culture and showcase one’s creative talents.

“Chinese from the Ground Up”: MIPT Releases the Second Volume of a Chinese Textbook for Engineering Majors
The faculty of the Department of Foreign Languages at MIPT has published a sequel to Russia’s first Chinese language textbook designed for technical students. The key distinguishing feature of the MIPT textbook is the “language through specialization” approach. The second part of the textbook (advanced course) corresponds grammatically to HSK levels III–IV. The second part of the textbook was presented at a Russian-Chinese scientific and practical conference in April 2026.

Dance, Drums, and the Languages of Africa: The First Afrofest at HSE
On April 23, the first large-scale Afrofestival took place in the central atrium of the HSE building on Pokrovka Street. The event was organized by the university’s African Student Association in collaboration with the HSE Center for Support and Career Development for International Students and Alumni. The event allowed HSE students and staff to immerse themselves in African culture through music, dance, and live interaction.

The representative office of the Association of International Students in Russia has officially begun operations at Far Eastern Federal University
The organization, which brings together more than 10,000 students from 70 countries, opened its branch on the FEFU campus in the spring of 2026. The branch includes more than 200 international students.

From Moscow to Dharwad: MISIS Students to undertake internships at a leading IT institute in India
MISIS University has signed a cooperation agreement with the Indian Institute of Information Technology Dharwad (IIIT Dharwad). The primary focus of the partnership will be the development of student exchange programs in UX/UI design, based at the Department of Computer-Aided Design and Engineering at MISIS and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIIT Dharwad.

Russia's first Sichuan cuisine center has opened at the SFU Institute of Gastronomy
On April 13, 2026, at the SFU Institute of Gastronomy, Maxim Rumyantsev, Acting Rector of SFU, and Lan Minglu, Professor and Dean of the Sichuan Cuisine Craft Production Academy, symbolically exchanged Memoranda of Understanding. The document formalizes a partnership in the field of hospitality and opens up new educational opportunities.

Samara University hosted the 3rd International Conference “Inclusion for All”
More than 500 people from 33 regions of Russia, including the new territories, and 10 countries near and far abroad participated in the event: Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Germany, the United States, Bangladesh, India, Ethiopia, and Namibia. More than 150 speakers presented papers on the challenges of inclusion as a social phenomenon in the professional sphere.
