KFU toured by Minister of Education of the Democractic People’s Republic of Korea Kim Seung-du

He was accompanied by his colleagues.

The guests were welcomed by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Yekaterina Turilova and Director of the International Office Olga Vershinina.

The visitors toured the History Museum and listened to a university presentation by the vice-rector. The sides discussed prospective cooperation in engineering and petroleum science. As of now, KFU has established links with Kim Chaek University of Technology, whose rector Park Ji-min visited our university in January 2025. The two institutions have decided to launch full-scale academic cooperation before the end of this year.

Minister Kim assured that he personally plans to oversee further expansion of ties between KFU and North Korean universities.

Tomsk State University and the Defence Services Academy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar agreed to forster joint research, including exchange of students and teachers and establish a laboratory for joint research in the field of extreme medicine.
