More than 100,000 people have registered as participants in the Open Doors Russian Scholarship Project
This number of participants was reached in less than a month after registration opened. Registration will close on November 1.

KFU and Sechenov University conducted a webinar for the participants of master's and doctoral tracks
KFU was represented during the webinar by Aigul Hisamova, leading specialist at the foreign students' recruitment and admission section (external affairs department).
Sechenov University was represented during the webinar by Konstantin Voronin, foreign students' affairs specialist.
The viewers got acquainted with the universities and their home cities, as well as educational and research programs they offer, detail of life on campus and helpful services offered to foreign students. University representatives also answered the viewers’ questions.

Registration for the Open Doors international intellectual competition for international students and young researchers begins on August 20, 2026. Winners and runners-up will have the opportunity to study tuition-free at leading Russian universities within the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation and may also receive additional government grant support.

FEFU and Malaysia's largest university have agreed to establish a joint artificial intelligence laboratory
The center will be located on the UiTM campus in Shah Alam (Selangor state). The Malaysian side will provide the facilities and appoint the center’s director, while FEFU will appoint a co-director to coordinate the joint work on the Russian side. The Institute of Big Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence will serve as the lead scientific partner on the Malaysian side.
