More than 58,000 people took part in the 2025/2026 Olympiad in the doctoral track, which is over 22,000 more than last year. 5,500 people were admitted to the second stage, and 603 to the third. A total of 301 participants were declared winners. The largest number of winners was recorded in such subject areas as Politics and International Studies (55 winners), Clinical Medicine and Public Health (35 winners), and “Computer and Data Science” (31 winners).
More than 31,000 people took part in the post-doctoral track, which is over 6,000 more than last year. A total of 182 people were admitted to the second stage and 54 to the third stage. Seventeen participants were awarded winner status (six in Politics and International Studies, five in Chemistry and Materials Science, 3 in Engineering and Technology, 2 in Biology and Biotechnology, and 1 in Urbanism and Civil Engineering).

Milica Rakina, a young scientist from the Chemistry Department at Tomsk State University, is working with colleagues from Radan Intan University (Lampung, Indonesia) to test animal products for compliance with halal standards. The scientists have successfully developed DNA analysis protocols that allow them to detect traces of pork, alcohol, and other non-halal components with high accuracy.
On February 3, 2026, a meeting of the Russian-Brazilian Working Group on Educational, Scientific and Technical Cooperation was held in Rio de Janeiro, timed to coincide with the visit of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to Brazil.
The authors include staff members from the country's first department of cyberpsychology at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Lobachevsky University in Nizhny Novgorod.
