Yegor Musin, an associate professor at Moscow Polytechnic University, has won the Chinese Ambassador to Russia Award in the “Biomedicine” category. The awards ceremony was held at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Russian Federation.

The award aims to promote scientific exchange and cooperation between young scientists in Russia and China. In 2026, it was presented in three categories: “Biomedicine,” “Electronic Information,” and “High-Tech Manufacturing and Equipment.”

Yegor Musin’s research focuses on the development of an electrochemical biosensor system for determining the concentration of ethanol and acetaldehyde in clinical medicine. The work falls under the “sensor technology” priority area at Moscow Polytechnic University and was supported by the P.L. Kapitsa Grant as part of the “Priority 2030” program.

A total of 166 applications were submitted for the award from more than 100 scientific, educational, and medical organizations. Following the selection process, 24 scientists and engineers were named laureates.
The award winners will have the opportunity to visit research companies, universities, and industrial enterprises in China, exchange professional experiences, and establish contacts with Chinese colleagues for future joint projects.
