The "Path of Unity" festival united students from different countries!
From July 21 to 24, 2026, the Association of International Students held a large-scale sports festival dedicated to Russian Folk Games and the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. Students from different regions of Russia joined together to experience Russian culture, test their skills, and build team spirit. A delegation of SFedU students competed in various sports, including tug of war, volleyball, shooting, and laser tag. They also completed a team obstacle course of 3.5 kilometers.
The festival included dance fitness, bouncy games, and the traditional lapta. The event demonstrated that sport knows no boundaries and that friendship is universal

Registration for Open Doors 2026 Begins on August 20
Registration for the Open Doors international intellectual competition for international students and young researchers begins on August 20, 2026. Winners and runners-up will have the opportunity to study tuition-free at leading Russian universities within the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation and may also receive additional government grant support.

FEFU and Malaysia's largest university have agreed to establish a joint artificial intelligence laboratory
The center will be located on the UiTM campus in Shah Alam (Selangor state). The Malaysian side will provide the facilities and appoint the center’s director, while FEFU will appoint a co-director to coordinate the joint work on the Russian side. The Institute of Big Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence will serve as the lead scientific partner on the Malaysian side.
