MGIMO Holds Educational Outreach Events for Students from Chinese Partner School

On July 13 MGIMO's International Marketing Group organized a series of educational outreach events for students from Beibo Dehan Foreign Languages School in Sanshui, one of the University's partner schools in China. The event took place at the Gorchakov Lyceum as part of the Russian International School project implemented under the Priority 2030 strategic development program.

The program was delivered by Alena Varlamova and Yulia Popel, analysts at the International Marketing Group, together with Maria Matveeva, a third-year student at the School of International Economic Relations. Conducted entirely in Chinese, the lectures and interactive sessions introduced students to the history, current state, and future prospects of Russia–China relations. Participants also learned about MGIMO's academic programs, the advantages of studying at the University, and the career opportunities available to its graduates.

Particular attention was given to the MGIMO International School Olympiad for Foreign Citizens. Students were informed that, for the first time, schoolchildren from China will get the opportunity to participate in the Olympiad in 2026. They were introduced to the competition's format and regulations, learned about the opportunities it provides for applicants, and completed sample Olympiad tasks in the form of an interactive quiz.

At the conclusion of the event, all participants received commemorative gifts from the “MGIMO International” merchandise collection. The Chinese students expressed strong interest in MGIMO's academic programs, studying in Russia, and continuing their Russian language education.
