On June 9, 2026, an expanded meeting of the Rectorate was held at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. During the official part of the event, the university leadership recognised the outstanding academic and professional achievements of members of the university community – both students and faculty.
Among the young international faculty members of our university, the achievements of Senior Lecturer of the Department of International Business Ameza Cletus Emmanuel from Ghana were highlighted. As a finalist of the 10th anniversary competition "Young Teacher of a Moscow University – 2026" organised by the Moscow City Organisation of the Education Trade Union, the lecturer was awarded a Diploma and a certificate. This high honour came as well‑deserved recognition of his professionalism and pedagogical talent.
Special congratulations were also extended to third‑year student of the Higher School of Cybertechnology, Mathematics and Statistics Do Van Nghia from Vietnam. Based on the results of the International Mathematics Olympiad of Northern Countries, organised by ITMO University on April 26‑28, 2026, he became a prize‑winner of the Olympiad and was awarded a 3rd Degree Diploma. The success of our student once again confirms the high level of fundamental mathematical training at Plekhanov University and the competitiveness of its graduates on the international stage.
We congratulate Ameza Cletus Emmanuel and Do Van Nghia on their well‑deserved awards! We wish them continued success and new academic and professional achievements.
Registration for the Open Doors international intellectual competition for international students and young researchers begins on August 20, 2026. Winners and runners-up will have the opportunity to study tuition-free at leading Russian universities within the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation and may also receive additional government grant support.
The center will be located on the UiTM campus in Shah Alam (Selangor state). The Malaysian side will provide the facilities and appoint the center’s director, while FEFU will appoint a co-director to coordinate the joint work on the Russian side. The Institute of Big Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence will serve as the lead scientific partner on the Malaysian side.

Russian education has traditionally been valued around the world for its emphasis on foundational knowledge and for helping graduates develop a broad perspective, which enables young professionals to build successful careers upon returning to their home countries.
A year ago, twenty-five students passed a rigorous selection process to participate in a one-year internship at Central South University in Changsha, China, as part of a joint project between SFU and the company “Polyus.”
