The nuclear industry is the foundation of our country’s energy security, defence capability and technological sovereignty. Russia’s achievements as a global leader in nuclear technology are the result of the selfless work of many generations of scientists, engineers, specialists and workers. Your professionalism and responsible attitude to your work inspire genuine respect. The history of Russia’s nuclear industry is the history of outstanding scientists, engineers, and practitioners whose selfless work created the country’s advanced energy and defence complex and ensured nuclear parity. Moreover, today the nuclear industry represents breakthrough solutions in medicine, the space sector, Arctic programmes, and quantum technologies. We all have to work together to address these strategic challenges. 
MEPhI has been and remains an integral part of this industry from its earliest days. Our graduates were at the forefront of the domestic nuclear project, and today they continue to strengthen Russia’s technological sovereignty by working at Rosatom and the country’s leading research centres. The university is proud to train specialists who are not only capable of meeting the challenges of the time but also of shaping the future of the nuclear industry.
