Vladimir Putin believes that it is necessary to simplify obtaining Russian citizenship for foreign students
According to the president, Russia is interested in attracting highly qualified specialists, including from among foreign students who study in the country's educational organizations. In his opinion, this will have a favorable impact on the country's economy.
Putin believes that therefore it is necessary to think about "unbureaucratizing" the procedure for obtaining citizenship. In addition, he supported the idea, voiced at the event, that the years of study should be counted as the length of service required to obtain citizenship.
