The freshman initiation on the stage of the Congress Center is one of the brightest and most significant events in the life of Plekhanov University students. It is not just a concert, but an important event that traditionally unites generations of students, faculty and staff. For first-year students, this day becomes the starting point of their long journey: from the first day of study to receiving their diploma and entering adult professional life.

On September 24, the Plekhanov Congress Center turned into the epicenter of student life. The traditional initiation concert filled the hall — more than 1,500 first-year students became part of the large and friendly REU family.

This year's traditional initiation concert became a true celebration of creativity and unity. Yesterday's applicants immersed themselves in the atmosphere of student life: the university's creative teams presented a vibrant program that creatively revealed all facets of extracurricular activity.

Musical and dance numbers resounded from the stage of the Congress Center. The hosts and participants of the concert told students about the boundless opportunities for self-fulfillment: from the student research society and sports sections to volunteer projects and student self-governance.

"Dear first-year students! Today you have become part of the large and friendly Plekhanov family. A university is not only lectures and exams — it is a space where ideas are born, character is tempered and true friends are found. We are proud to be a platform for dialogue where education meets real practice and ideas turn into concrete deeds. Our mission is not only to teach, but also to inspire, support initiatives and create conditions for everyone to find their own path. May the years you spend here become a time of bright discoveries and confident growth for you. Welcome to Plekhanov University!" — noted Ivan Lobanov, Rector of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.

The initiation became not only a beautiful celebration, but also an important stage in first-year students' adaptation to the university environment. For many of them, this is the first serious step into adult life, and the university does everything to make this transition as comfortable and joyful as possible.

After the official part, students had the opportunity to talk with representatives of creative teams and student organizations, ask questions and sign up for the associations they liked. An atmosphere of unity and goodwill reigned in the Congress Center until the very end of the evening.

Welcome to the student family of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics!
