More than 100,000 people have registered as participants in the Open Doors Russian Scholarship Project
This number of participants was reached in less than a month after registration opened. Registration will close on November 1.

MIPT opens a new dormitory for foreign students in Dolgoprudny, Moscow region.
Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (National Research University) opened a new dormitory No. 14 for foreign students with a capacity for approximately 500 students.
A 13-stores block building of 14,5 square meters consists of one to three-room units, where two from six students will reside. There are a kitchen area and a separate bathroom in all units.
The total number of beds in the dormitory are 471, including 24 for people with disabilities. The majority of study buildings of the University are located in Dolgoprudny.

Registration for the Open Doors international intellectual competition for international students and young researchers begins on August 20, 2026. Winners and runners-up will have the opportunity to study tuition-free at leading Russian universities within the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation and may also receive additional government grant support.

FEFU and Malaysia's largest university have agreed to establish a joint artificial intelligence laboratory
The center will be located on the UiTM campus in Shah Alam (Selangor state). The Malaysian side will provide the facilities and appoint the center’s director, while FEFU will appoint a co-director to coordinate the joint work on the Russian side. The Institute of Big Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence will serve as the lead scientific partner on the Malaysian side.
