Advanced engineering schools to be created in 30 Russian universities

It is planned that by 2024 advanced engineering schools will be launched in 30 universities from 15 Russian regions, in partnership with high-technology companies. Over 500 new study programs will be launched, over 28 000 technical university teachers will complete skill upgrading, and 2500 graduates will be employed in Russia’s high-technology companies.

Universities selected for the advanced engineering schools project will not only be preparing practical specialists, but also creating new technological solutions for various industries. As Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said, the participating universities will receive a 2,5 billion rubles in grants. 12 more billion will be provided by the high-tech companies partnering with them.

13 of 30 participating universities are Open Doors organizers, namely FEFU, KFU, MIPT, NUST “MISIS”, TSU, TPU, ITMO, NSU, Sechenov University, SPbPU, UrFU, Samara University and Lobachevsky University.

  • HSE Expands Cooperation with Chinese Universities

    An HSE delegation, led by Rector Nikita Anisimov, visited China for negotiations with the administration of the country’s top universities. The parties agreed to expand bilateral scientific and educational collaboration and signed several documents. In particular, a strategic partnership agreement was established with Peking University, one of the oldest and most prestigious educational institutions in China.

  • KFU promoted at expo in Vietnam

    The University is represented by Deputy Director for Innovation of the Institute of Computational Mathematics and IT Kamilla Smolnikova.

  • SPbPU is represented in 10 subject areas in the QS Subject ranking

    Polytechnic University maintained its positions in key areas of knowledge and took 7th place in the Russian part of the ranking in engineering and 14th in natural sciences, retaining these high positions from 2024. In the world ranking SPbPU ranked 288th in engineering and 429th in natural sciences.
