More than 100,000 people have registered as participants in the Open Doors Russian Scholarship Project
This number of participants was reached in less than a month after registration opened. Registration will close on November 1.

Open Doors stage 2 has begun
Stage 2 consists of online proctored exams that are the same for participants of both master’s and doctoral tracks. This year marks the first time when the participants can choose between two proctoring system operators - Examus and Exams.mipt. All exams are held remotely, enabling the participants to take them in the comfort of their homes.
Stage 2 exams are held from January 12 to January 26. Each subject area exam happens on a predetermined date within which the participants can choose a suitable time. The participants have 180 minutes to finish all the tasks. Detailed schedule of the exams can be found here.
On February 10, the results will be announced, after which on February 22 lists of the winners and prize-winners of the master’s track will be finalized, as well as lists of stage 3 participants in the doctoral track. The number of winners in each subject area will depend on the general average results of each exam.

Registration for Open Doors 2026 Begins on August 20
Registration for the Open Doors international intellectual competition for international students and young researchers begins on August 20, 2026. Winners and runners-up will have the opportunity to study tuition-free at leading Russian universities within the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation and may also receive additional government grant support.

FEFU and Malaysia's largest university have agreed to establish a joint artificial intelligence laboratory
The center will be located on the UiTM campus in Shah Alam (Selangor state). The Malaysian side will provide the facilities and appoint the center’s director, while FEFU will appoint a co-director to coordinate the joint work on the Russian side. The Institute of Big Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence will serve as the lead scientific partner on the Malaysian side.
