Center of innovative creativity started to work in Tomsk University
The Center of Youth Innovation Creativity "Intellect" moved into the tenth building of Tomsk State University (TSU) from the special economic zone (SEZ). At the center, TSU students will be able to engage in their own high-tech projects, said center director Alexei Kremlev.
"In the near future it is planned to start doing projects with other universities and launch training programs for Tomsk residents," Kremlev said.
The center now has teams from TSU working on developing drones for cargo delivery and studying the effect of motor skills on cognitive connections, RIA Tomsk reported. The center is also cooperating with Tomsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (TSUA) - it is planned to create furniture made of luminous concrete for Tomsk institutions and public places.
Tomsk State University (TSU) became the winner of an additional competition of the Federal scientific and technical program for the development of genetic technologies for 2019-2027. The university will receive 320 million rubles to research the genes of microbes that live in the intestines of animals, according to the Telegram channel of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science. A total of 128 applications from 35 regions of the country were submitted for the contest. Among the universities in Tomsk, the grants were awarded to the Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR) and the Siberian State Medical University.
