The number of participants hits 20,000

A little more than a month before Open Doors first stage ends, the number of participants hits 20,000, adding 10,000 applicants in only two weeks. They represent 166 different countries.

Most popular subject areas this year are Business and Management (3721 participants) together with Engineering and Technology (3648 participants), followed by Computer and Data Science (2692 participants), Political Science (2380 participants), Biology (1636 participants), Economics (1543 participants), Linguistics and Modern Languages (1188 participants), Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence (1184 participants), Psychology (1012 participants), Chemistry (687 participants) and Physics (618 participants).

The first stage will end on December 18th. All portfolios will be examined equally, so everyone has a chance. So if you want to apply but are not sure if you can handle it - we recommend to get rid of all doubts and register this very day!

    HSE University and the Centre for International Policy Research (Qatar) have agreed to collaborate in the field of social sciences, with plans for joint research, academic exchanges, and regular expert engagement.

  • Teleconference with Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Civil Engineering

    The forum “Cultural Heritage in Art, Architecture and Literature” was held in the UNN Fundamental Library  in the format of a teleconference. Taking part in the event were representatives of Lobachevsky University and the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. The participants shared with each other their countries' cultural traditions, such as dances, poems, symbols and crafts.

  • HSE Expands Cooperation with Chinese Universities

    An HSE delegation, led by Rector Nikita Anisimov, visited China for negotiations with the administration of the country’s top universities. The parties agreed to expand bilateral scientific and educational collaboration and signed several documents. In particular, a strategic partnership agreement was established with Peking University, one of the oldest and most prestigious educational institutions in China.

  • KFU promoted at expo in Vietnam

    The University is represented by Deputy Director for Innovation of the Institute of Computational Mathematics and IT Kamilla Smolnikova.

  • SPbPU is represented in 10 subject areas in the QS Subject ranking

    Polytechnic University maintained its positions in key areas of knowledge and took 7th place in the Russian part of the ranking in engineering and 14th in natural sciences, retaining these high positions from 2024. In the world ranking SPbPU ranked 288th in engineering and 429th in natural sciences.
