The Russian Ministry of Education and Science discussed the prospects of scientific and educational co-operation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Iraq

Konstantin Mogilevsky thanked the Iraqi delegation for their contribution to the development of bilateral co-operation and noted that the interaction between the universities of the two countries is dynamic and successful.

"Last year Sharjah hosted the III Forum of Rectors of Russian and Arab Universities, and it was really large-scale. During 2023, 27 agreements were signed between our universities. This year it is planned to sign 8 more documents", - said Konstantin Mogilevsky.

As an important stage in the development of cooperation, the deputy minister noted the development of a draft intergovernmental agreement on mutual recognition of education, qualifications and degrees. The document will allow students of both countries to avoid the tedious procedure of recognising diplomas and degrees in future employment or continuing education.
