International collaboration in the area of Oriental and African studies

"The Ministry of Education and Science 0of Russia together with the Centers for Asian and African Studies is developing a new comprehensive program for the development of education and research in the field of Oriental and African studies. The program provides for compulsory internship of students, teachers and scientists in the countries under study, as well as solving not only theoretical but also applied problems in the countries of East and Africa in the interests of the country and Russian business," explained Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. 

Modernization of the system of training orientalists and Africanists will last until 2030. By that time, about 40 universities in Asia and Africa will become partners of the program, where Russian students and teachers will come for internships.
