Mikhail Mishustin spoke about the development of international relations in higher education between Russia and Tajikistan

Mikhail Mishustin pointed out that humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan is actively developing. He paid special attention to the sphere of higher education.

"Students from the Republic are studying at higher education institutions in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ufa, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Barnaul and other cities in fulfillment of the agreements between our presidents Vladimir Putin and Emomali Rakhmon. For the coming academic year, we have increased the government quota for admission of Tajik citizens to Russian universities. It is possible to get higher education without leaving the Republic at the Russian-Tajik ("Slavic") University, branches of Russian institutions of higher education", emphasized Mikhail Mishustin.

For the 2023/2024 academic year for students from the Republic of Tajikistan under the special quota of the Russian government 902 budgetary seats are allocated - 152 seats more than last year. At the moment more than 35 thousand citizens of the Republic study at Russian universities.

It should be noted that the conference is held for the ninth time and has more than a thousand participants. Representatives of sixteen Russian regions and more than two hundred companies arrived in Dushanbe.
