Russia and Uzbekistan continue to develop scientific and educational co-operation
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current tasks of material and technical support of the Russian branches and agreed to set up a joint working group to analise their activities. The results of the work are planned to be presented at the next Meeting of the Sub-Commission on Science and Education.
The participants of the meeting confirmed their intention to strengthen bilateral scientific and educational co-operation, including within the framework of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia, announced by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The representatives of the agencies noted the prospects for co-operation in such sectors as energy, agro-biotechnology, water management and climate studies.
At the end of the meeting, the Russian side invited colleagues from Uzbekistan to take part in the IV Russian-Uzbek educational forum to be held in June at the Far Eastern Federal University, as well as in the IV Congress of Young Scientists to be held in November at the federal territory of Sirius.
