The office facilitates KFU activities in the following areas:

- Promoting international cooperation

This direction includes a wide range of issues related to international research collaboration, academic mobility, information and analytical service, project operation and arrangement of events related to KFU international activities

- Promoting international education

This section deals with incoming international students arriving at KFU on bilateral agreements of Russia with other countries, KFU partner agreements and individual tuition-paying foreign students

"Program of organization of assistance in temporary employment and employment of students of Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education "Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University" for 2026 - 2030". dated June 01, 2026. The purpose of the program is to support students in temporary employment, to relieve social tension and compensation for "falling out" income of students, to create the necessary conditions for the effective application of existing competencies and to promote the continuous growth of professionalism of students. The program organizes meetings of foreign students with employers who are ready to hire them. A selection of vacancies for foreign applicants is carried out.

Adaptation services unit

Functions:

• information support of foreign citizens before arrival, during and after their stay at Kazan Federal University;
• providing accommodation and comfortable living;
• assistance in issuing voluntary medical insurance policy and in organizing medical services for foreign citizens;
• support by discovering the culture and traditions of the peoples of the Russian Federation;
• organization of cultural and educational events for the foreign students and with participation of foreign students;
• interaction with public organizations of foreign students and support for the work of student self-government bodies of foreign students of KFU.
