New accreditation indicators for higher education programs to come in force from March 1
"On March 1, 2022, amendments to the federal law "On Education" will come into force. They will affect the procedure for state accreditation of educational activities. Accreditation indicators approved by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia in coordination with Federal Education and Science Supervision Service will take into account peculiarities of evaluation of educational activities taking into account qualitative and quantitative indices", - the message says.
Accreditation becomes open-ended, but accreditation monitoring is introduced, which allows to carry out continuous and systematic observation of the quality of education. The quality of education will be assessed, inter alia, by the share of teachers with academic degrees or titles, the share of graduates employed during the year, the share of students who have successfully completed diagnostic works and other indicators.

FEFU and Malaysia's largest university have agreed to establish a joint artificial intelligence laboratory
The center will be located on the UiTM campus in Shah Alam (Selangor state). The Malaysian side will provide the facilities and appoint the center’s director, while FEFU will appoint a co-director to coordinate the joint work on the Russian side. The Institute of Big Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence will serve as the lead scientific partner on the Malaysian side.
