On March 21, 2026, Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MGSU) held a specialized open house. The event was organized for students enrolled in the supplementary general education program “Preparation for Enrollment in Core Professional Education Programs in Russian.”
The event was attended by 63 people from more than 30 countries around the world. This diverse range of participants once again confirms the high level of interest in construction education in Russia and the growing prestige of MGSU on the international stage.
During the event, the students got to know the university, learned about the various fields of study, and discovered all the details regarding admission to MGSU for international students through presentations by specialists from the MGSU Admissions Committee and the MGSU Center for International Education.
The highlight of the meeting was an engaging career orientation game prepared by faculty members from the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language. This interactive session allowed participants to explore the institutes and departments of MGSU in an entertaining way.
While completing the tasks, the prospective students deciphered a well-known saying encoded in binary, recalled world architectural masterpieces, studied modern building materials and techniques, and tackled unusual economic challenges—counting banknotes from different countries and discussing alternative energy sources.
It is important to note that throughout the game, the participants demonstrated excellent command of the Russian language, confidently expressing their thoughts and finding common ground with representatives of different cultures. The atmosphere of the event served as a wonderful example of international friendship, mutual support, and teamwork. There were no losers that day—all participants received commemorative gifts from the university, new knowledge, and vivid memories.
At the end of the event, volunteers from the Admissions Committee of Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MGSU) led a campus tour, during which the students got to know the lecture halls and learned to better navigate the buildings of our university.
