The University of Tyumen (UTMN) representatives participated at the World Youth Festival 2026, which was held in Yekaterinburg from 11-17 September 2026. Sofia Ledak and Roman Nechaev, the staff of the UTMN Centre for International Education, were among 10,000 participants and represented the Tyumen region and UTMN in the areas of State and Municipal Administration and Science and Education.

While working in small groups, the participants were able to exchange experiences with representatives from other regions of Russia and abroad, including Kamchatka and Baikonur. Professional ties have been established with the representatives of higher educational institutions, government officials, particularly, in the field of education, and students from leading universities around the world.

Efforts were directed at identifying new partners for inter‑university collaboration to enhance UTMN’s international profile. The forum gave a start to building ties with universities in Serbia, Morocco, Kyrgyzstan, and beyond.
