National Research Moscow State University of Civil Engineering, Moscow State Institute of International Relations, Moscow Polytechnic University and N.E. Bauman Moscow State Technical University became members of the Association from January 1, 2024. Participants of the Olympiad can choose these universities for enrollment, and participants of the postgraduate track can choose potential research supervisors from these universities.

Lists of the winners and prize-winners of the master's track, as well as lists of stage 3 participants of the doctoral track, have been published on the respective subject area pages on the Olympiad website.

The Day of Russian Science is celebrated on February 8. It is a holiday of academicians, scientists, professors and students who have decided to devote their lives to scientific and research activities.

Individual exam(s) results in all subject areas can be found in the participants' personal accounts on the Olympiad website.

Every year on January 25th, Russia celebrates Students’ Day (Tatiana’s Day), one of the oldest

professional holidays in the country. Established in 1850, this day is associated with the

memory of Saint Tatiana of Rome, considered the patroness of all students. The symbolism of

the celebration is emphasized by its alignment with the academic calendar – January 25th

marks the end of the first semester's examination session and the beginning of the winter

student vacation.

Postgraduate study is the first step on the way to becoming a person as a future scientist. It is the first stage of a scientific career, which lays the foundations of scientific knowledge, forms the specifics of the future scientist's thinking and the nature of future scientific activity.

The team of the Faculty of Urban and Regional Development of the National Research University Higher School of Economics took part in the Global Mayor's Forum, a global event in the field of urban development. The largest congress of urbanists, held in December 2023 in Guangzhou (China), gathered more than 800 guests from 65 cities and 37 countries, as well as 9 international organizations.

Registration for the second stage has closed on January 7.
Today, on January 08, the participants are still able to take the trial session of the exam, which is available for them in their Participants' accounts. The second stage consists of online exams, which are supervised by a proctor. The exams of the second stage are the same for the participants of Master's and Postgraduate tracks. All exams are conducted entirely remotely, allowing participants to take them in comfort  without having to leave their home country.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and the Ministry of Education of Ghana on cooperation in higher education. It envisages the development of joint programs and projects, exchange of experience and information, and joint events.

The results of the first stage are available in the Participants’ accounts. The lists of participants who qualified to the second stage are also published on the pages of their chosen Subjects' pages. A total of 9 631 people were admitted to the second stage.

On December 10, the registration for Open Doors-2023 Olympiad closed. Overall number of participants is more than 67 000.They registered from 190 countries and completed more than 110 000 portfolios.

Graduate Scholarship Project Open Doors has been shortlisted for the Znanie.Award. The award was established to to recognize the educational projects, the achievements of educators, teachers, lecturers, authors, bloggers, science popularizers. 

On November 28-30, the III Congress of Young Scientists was held, which is the largest platform for the dialog of advanced and fundamental science, state authorities and the real sector of the economy, which sets the main vectors of scientific and technological development of Russia. The event included an expert-discussion platform "Attracting Foreign Youth to Russian Science: New Opportunities and Approved Practices". The platform presented the most interesting university practices of attracting, selecting and adapting foreign youth in research projects of Russian universities.

The first ceremony of awarding the title "Ambassador of Russian Education and Science" was held at the Russian Ministry of Education and Science.
